My name is Zack; I'm an actor, director, and musician originally from Indianapolis, IN.
When I was a sophomore in high school, the theatre director of the school plays begged me to play a Russian soldier in their upcoming production of Fiddler on the Roof. After originally scoffing at the idea, I begrudgingly accepted the "role" at the behest of my Dad. On opening night, I broke a set piece and forgot my only line. It was exhilarating. From that point forward, I auditioned for every musical that my high school offered, never playing more than a featured member of the ensemble and wreaking havoc as a crew member when I didn't get cast.
Originally planning to move on from theatre, I attended Middlebury College to study Economics. Seeking an art credit, I took an acting class, and my professor suggested that I audition for his upcoming play. I didn't get cast. But I did get cast in the next one. And another after that. And a few more after that. I started taking more classes, and the more I learned, the more enveloped I became in the art of performing.
By the time I graduated with a B.A. in Economics AND Theatre, I had developed as a performer in a wide array of productions, such as Sondheim's Company (Robert), a Lecoq-inspired rendition of Ionesco's absurdist play Rhinoceros (Albert Berenger), the DND-inspired She Kills Monsters (Orcus), and the modern musical masterpiece Fun Home (Bruce).

I moved to New York last October 2023, hoping to continue my passion for performance. I've worked with students on their graduate film work at NYU, Columbia, and Tisch. I made my Off-Broadway stage debut in May 2024 with the Village Light Opera Group, who performed the musical adaptation A Tale of Two Cities at Theatre of St. Jean. And I have the unique opportunity of debuting two world premieres this summer with the Dogteam Theatre Project, A Hundred Circling Camps by Sam Collier and La Viuda by Maria Irene Fornes. I was a part of workshops for both plays last summer, and I am thrilled to bring these two remarkable shows to Atlantic Stage 2 this July and August 2024.
